Boat
To reach Rancho Terramar, start by taking a boat from Santa Cruz Island. Head to the Itabaca Channel, which connects Santa Cruz to the northern part of Isabela Island. The boat ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the Itabaca dock, you can catch a taxi boat that will take you to Isabela Island. Once you reach Isabela, you will need to find local transportation options such as a small bus or a shared taxi to get to the town of Puerto Villamil.
Water Taxi
From Puerto Villamil, you can hire a water taxi to take you closer to Rancho Terramar. Coordinate with the boat operators in Puerto Villamil for a ride to the nearest docking point to Rancho Terramar. The water taxi ride may take around 15-20 minutes. Ensure to communicate to the operator your intended destination and confirm the fare beforehand.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous, after disembarking from the water taxi, you can hike to Rancho Terramar. The trail is well-marked, and you will pass through beautiful landscapes. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike which can take around 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Follow the path leading towards the hills; signs will direct you towards Rancho Terramar.
