Walking
If you are starting from the Guayaquil Metropolitan Cathedral in the city center, head south on Calle Chile until you reach Avenida 9 de Octubre. Turn left and walk down Avenida 9 de Octubre for about 10 minutes. You will pass by various shops and cafes. Once you reach the intersection with Avenida Simón Bolívar, turn right and continue straight until you see the entrance to Malecon 2000 on your left.
Bus
From the Parque de las Iguanas, take the bus number 44, which travels towards the Malecon. The driver will announce the stops. Get off at the 'Malecon' stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the waterfront, and you will see the entrance to Malecon 2000 directly ahead.
Taxi
If you are near the Parque de las Iguanas or any central location, you can hail a taxi. Make sure to tell the driver 'Malecon 2000, en Simon Bolivar Palacios'. The drive should take about 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the main entrance of Malecon 2000.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, exit the Parque de las Iguanas and head towards Avenida 9 de Octubre. Turn left and cycle down Avenida 9 de Octubre. After about 10 minutes, turn right onto Avenida Simón Bolívar and continue until you reach Malecon 2000. There are bike racks available for you to lock your bicycle once you arrive.
