Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Manta, head to the main bus terminal known as Terminal Terrestre de Manta. You can take a taxi or a local bus to get there. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading to Montecristi. The ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Tell the driver you want to get off at the Civic Center Ciudad Alfaro. After getting off, walk towards the main entrance of the Civic Center, which is just a short distance away.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Manta. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Civic Center Ciudad Alfaro in Montecristi. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey or ask the driver to use the meter.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Manta and ride towards Montecristi. Start from the waterfront promenade and head northwest towards the main road leading out of Manta. Follow the signs towards Montecristi; it’s about a 15 km ride. Ensure you have a map or a GPS-enabled device, as the route has few bike lanes. Once you arrive in Montecristi, look for signs directing you to the Civic Center Ciudad Alfaro.

• Walking

  Walking to the Civic Center Ciudad Alfaro is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 15 km) and lack of pedestrian pathways along the main roads. However, if you are determined, you can walk to the main road leading to Montecristi and then continue towards the center, following the main highway. This will be a long and potentially unsafe journey due to traffic, so it is advisable to use public transport.
