Car
From Mindo Cloud Forest, start by heading southeast on the E28 road. Follow the signs towards Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. After approximately 38 kilometers, you will reach the town of Cotacachi. Continue on the E28 until you see signs for Vía Cotacachi - Quiroga - Cuicocha. Turn onto this road, and after about 10 kilometers, you will arrive at the Cuicocha Lagoon. Note that parking may be available at the lagoon entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Cuicocha Lagoon from Mindo Cloud Forest using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Mindo to Quito. The bus leaves from the main terminal in Mindo and takes about 2 hours to reach Quito. Once in Quito, transfer to a bus heading to Cotacachi, which will take about 2 hours. Upon arrival in Cotacachi, you can catch a taxi or a local bus towards Vía Cotacachi - Quiroga - Cuicocha, which is approximately a 10-kilometer ride to the lagoon. Be sure to check the bus schedules for return trips.
