From the center of Mindo, walk to the main road where you can catch a bus heading towards Los Bancos. Look for buses marked 'Los Bancos' or 'San Miguel de Los Bancos'. The buses usually leave every 30 minutes. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the Milpe Bird Sanctuary stop.

Once you get off the bus at the Milpe Bird Sanctuary stop, look for the sign indicating the entrance to the sanctuary. Follow the dirt road leading into the forest, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the main road. The sanctuary entrance will have signs and possibly a small reception area where you can purchase tickets.

Taxi or Moto-taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi or a moto-taxi from the center of Mindo. Agree on a fare before starting your journey. The ride to Milpe Bird Sanctuary takes about 20 minutes, and the drivers are usually familiar with the location. Ensure they take you to 'Camino Milpe-Pachijal y Km 91'.
