Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Macas, the capital of Morona Santiago. Head southeast on Av. 15 de Noviembre towards Av. José Peralta, then take the exit onto E40. Continue on E40 for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the junction for Vía Baños Puyo. Turn onto Vía Baños Puyo and continue for about 12 kilometers. You will see Discovery Baños on your right, located directly in front of Hosteria Agoyan. Make sure to check for any parking available.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Discovery Baños using public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Macas. Look for a bus heading to Baños or Puyo; these are common routes. The fare is typically around $2-$4. The journey will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Baños, you can take a taxi or a local bus towards Puyo. Inform the driver to drop you off at Hosteria Agoyan, and Discovery Baños will be just across the street.

  If you prefer a more direct route and are in Macas, you can take a taxi directly to Discovery Baños. This option is more expensive, typically costing between $30-$50, but it offers convenience. The taxi will take you along the same route as described for driving, so the travel time will be about 1 hour. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
