Start at the Plaza de los Ponchos in Otavalo. Head south on Calle Sucre until you reach Avenida 31 de Octubre. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Calle 10 de Agosto. Turn right onto Calle 10 de Agosto. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you see the signs for Mirador de Otón. Follow the signs leading you uphill to the observation deck.

From the Plaza de los Ponchos, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida 31 de Octubre. Take a bus heading to Quito. Inform the bus driver you want to get off at Mirador de Otón. The driver will let you know when you arrive. Once you get off, follow the path uphill towards the observation deck. It should take about 10-15 minutes to walk from the bus stop to the Mirador.
