Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Otavalo bus terminal, exit the terminal and head west on Calle Sucre. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Juan Montalvo. Turn left onto Calle Juan Montalvo and continue for about two blocks. You will see Plaza de Ponchos on your right, just past the intersection with Calle Bolívar.

    If you are near the central park (Plaza de la Independencia), exit the park from the east side and head towards Calle Sucre. Turn left onto Calle Sucre and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle Juan Montalvo. Turn right onto Calle Juan Montalvo, and Plaza de Ponchos will be on your left after a short walk.

    From the Otavalo Market area, walk towards the main street (Calle Sucre). Head towards the west side of the street until you reach Calle Juan Montalvo. Turn left here and walk straight for about 2 blocks. Plaza de Ponchos will be on your right, across from various shops and stalls.
