Boat
Urbina Bay is typically accessed via a cruise or tour that includes a stop at the site. These tours usually depart from Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island. The boat journey provides scenic views of the Isabela coastline. Park entrance fees are typically included in the tour price. As of July 2025, the Galapagos National Park entrance fee is $200 USD per adult and $100 USD per child under 12, payable in cash upon arrival to the Galapagos. A transit control card also costs $20.

Walking
Upon arrival at Urbina Bay via boat, a wet landing is usually required to reach the shore. From the beach, visitors can follow marked trails to explore the island's unique landscape and wildlife. There are two trails available, a short (0.6mi/1 km) and a long (1.9mi/3km) one. The longer trail leads to the uplifted coral heads.
