Bus
To reach San Tadeo Birding from Quito, head to the 'Terminal Terrestre Quitumbe' bus terminal. Look for buses heading to 'Mindo' or 'Calacalí'. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once you reach the town of Mindo, you can either take a taxi or a local bus towards 'La Independencia'. Inform the driver to drop you off at Km77, which is about 15 minutes before the Y intersection leading to Mindo. The San Tadeo Birding site will be nearby.
Taxi
From your location in Quito, you can take a taxi directly to San Tadeo Birding. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as taxis in Quito do not have meters. The ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Ask the driver to take you to 'Km77 15 minutos antes de la Y de Mindo, vía Calacalí-La Independencia'. Be sure to have the address written down to show the driver.
