If you are in the main area of Salinas, start at the Malecón (boardwalk) which is a popular spot. Head southwest along the Malecón towards the beach. Continue walking along the beach until you reach the intersection with Avenida 9 de Octubre. Turn left onto Avenida 9 de Octubre and walk straight for about 10-15 minutes. You will see signs directing you to El Museo de Ballenas on your right. The museum is located at approximately latitude -2.204714 and longitude -80.9612088.
Public Transport
You can take a local bus that travels along Avenida 9 de Octubre. Look for a bus with 'Museo de Ballenas' or similar signage. Board the bus and inform the driver that you want to go to the whale museum. The bus ride will take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the nearest stop to the museum and walk a short distance to your destination.
