Getting There

• Metro

  If you are starting from downtown Cairo, head to Sadat Metro Station, which is located near Tahrir Square. Take the Metro Line 1 (the red line) towards Helwan. After a few stops, get off at the Abdeen Station. From Abdeen Station, exit and walk towards the Abdeen Palace, then continue straight until you reach Bab El Sharia. The Bostan Ibn Hyram is located nearby.

• Bus

  From the Cairo Opera House, you can take bus number 400 towards Bab El Sharia. Ensure you board the correct bus and pay the fare, which is usually very affordable. The bus will drop you off near the Bab El Sharia area. From there, it's a short walk to reach Bostan Ibn Hyram.
