Car
If you are driving from Cairo, take the Desert Road (Cairo - Alex Desert Road) and head west. After around 600 km, you will reach the town of Al Kharga. From Al Kharga, follow the signs toward Al Wahat Al Dakhla. The journey will take approximately 9-10 hours. Once you arrive in Al Wahat Al Dakhla, navigate to the coordinates G39W+748. There are local signs directing you to Kellis Ancient City. Parking is available near the site.
Public Transportation
From Cairo, take a bus to Al Kharga. Buses depart from Tahrir Square and the journey takes about 8-9 hours. Once in Al Kharga, you can find a microbus or taxi to Al Wahat Al Dakhla. Make sure to confirm that the driver knows the destination, Kellis Ancient City. The microbus ride will take about 1 hour. Upon arrival in Al Wahat Al Dakhla, ask locals for directions to G39W+748, where you will find Kellis Ancient City.
Taxi
If you're already in Al Kharga, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Kellis Ancient City. This is a more convenient option but will be more expensive, costing around 200-300 EGP. The journey takes about 1 hour. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your trip.
