The journey lasts about 10-12 hours and costs approximately 200-300 EGP. Once you arrive at Luxor bus station, you can take a taxi or local microbus to Luxor Temple. The taxi ride should cost around 20 EGP.

Another option is to take a train from Cairo to Luxor. The Egyptian National Railways operates several daily trains from Ramses Station in Cairo to Luxor. The journey takes about 10-12 hours, and tickets range from 100 to 250 EGP depending on the class of service. Upon arrival at Luxor train station, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Luxor Temple, which is about 3 km away. Expect to pay around 20 EGP for the taxi.
