From central Chalchuapa, head north on Avenida 1 de Mayo. Walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Calle 5 de Noviembre. Turn left onto Calle 5 de Noviembre and continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the main road, which is the CA-1 highway. Be cautious as this road can be busy.

Once you reach the CA-1 highway, turn right and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass through a few small villages and local shops along the way. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Concepción de Ataco.

After about 1.5 kilometers on the CA-1, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Concepción de Ataco. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers. You will start to see signs for Perol Waterfall as you approach.

As you near Concepción de Ataco, you will see a sign for Perol Waterfall. Follow the signs, which will direct you onto a smaller path leading to the waterfall area. This final stretch is approximately 1 kilometer through scenic terrain.
