Sunset Park is a vibrant amusement park located in the port town of La Libertad, El Salvador. Inaugurated in August 2022, it holds the distinction of being the first permanent waterfront amusement park in Central America. As part of the Surf City initiative, the park aims to revitalize the coastline and provide a safe and affordable recreational space for everyone.The park features five main attractions: a Ferris wheel, a roller coaster, a carousel, a frog hopper, and a pirate ship. These rides, donated by China, offer fun for all ages with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. In addition to the rides, Sunset Park provides visitors the opportunity to stroll along the beach, enjoy the scenery, and savor local seafood and refreshments at the restaurants within the Tourist Complex of Puerto de la Libertad. The park is strategically located near the Mercado del Mar (Ocean Market), a gastronomic center where fresh seafood can be purchased.Sunset Park has quickly become a major attraction, drawing approximately 1.5 million visitors between its opening and July 2024.
