Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Plaza Barrios, head southwest on Avenida Cuscatlán for about 500 meters. You will pass by the National Cathedral on your right side. Continue straight until you reach the National Palace, which will be on your left at Avenida Cuscatlán.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From the Metrocentro shopping mall, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida Independencia. Take any bus that heads towards the Centro Histórico direction. After approximately 10 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the stop nearest to Avenida Cuscatlán. Once you get off, walk towards Avenida Cuscatlán, and you will find the National Palace just a short walk ahead on your left.

  • Walking from El Salvador del Mundo Monument

    Starting at the El Salvador del Mundo Monument, walk east towards Avenida La Revolución. Turn left onto Avenida La Revolución and walk straight until you reach Avenida Cuscatlán. Turn right onto Avenida Cuscatlán, and the National Palace will be about 1 kilometer down the road on your left.
