If you are in the central area of Suchitoto, start by heading towards the main road (Calle San Juan) that leads out of town. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the highway (Carretera a Santa Tecla). Once you reach the highway, look for local buses heading towards Santa Tecla. You can ask locals for the nearest bus stop. After boarding, tell the driver you are heading to Parque Nacional El Boquerón. The park is about a 30-minute ride from Suchitoto. Get off at the nearest stop to the park entrance. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the park entrance.

From the main square in Suchitoto (Plaza Central), locate the bus terminal where buses to Santa Tecla depart. Look for the buses labeled for Santa Tecla. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenery on the way to Santa Tecla, which should take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Santa Tecla, get off the bus and ask for directions to Parque Nacional El Boquerón. It's a short taxi ride or a 20-minute walk from the bus stop to the park entrance. Taxis are available outside the bus terminal.
