Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Santa Ana. Head southwest on Calle 5 Avenida Norte towards Boulevard Los Heroes. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Carretera a Cerro Verde (CA-8). Turn left onto CA-8 and follow the signs towards Cerro Verde National Park. After approximately 18 km, you will see signs for the Santa Ana Volcano Trailhead on your left. The parking area is just before the trail entrance.

To reach Santa Ana Volcano Trailhead via public transportation, take a bus from Santa Ana to the town of Cerro Verde. Buses depart regularly from the Santa Ana bus terminal. The fare is typically around $1. Once you arrive in Cerro Verde, you can either walk to the trailhead, which is about 3 km away, or hire a local taxi for around $5. The trailhead is well-marked, and locals will be able to direct you if needed.
