Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the town of Santa Ana, take the Pan-American Highway (CA-1) southeast towards San Salvador. Continue for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach the city. As you approach San Salvador, follow the signs for Avenida Cuscatlán. Once on Avenida Cuscatlán, look for the National Palace on your right. There is limited street parking available nearby, so be prepared to park in public lots or use street parking where allowed.

• Bus

  To reach the National Palace by bus, first head to the main bus terminal in Santa Ana. Look for buses heading to San Salvador, which are frequent and affordable. The fare is usually around $1.50 to $2.00. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the San Salvador terminal, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Avenida Cuscatlán. Local buses labeled '30' or '50' will take you towards the downtown area where the National Palace is located. Ask the driver to let you off at Avenida Cuscatlán.

• Taxi/Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a more direct option, consider using a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Uber from your location in the Western Region. Simply input 'National Palace of El Salvador' or 'Avenida Cuscatlán, San Salvador' as your destination. The cost will depend on your starting point but expect to pay around $30 to $50 from Santa Ana to San Salvador. The ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic.
