Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the center of Adi Quala, head east on the main road (Main Street) towards the outskirts of the town. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the T-junction. At the T-junction, turn right onto the dirt path that leads into the mountainous area. Follow this path as it winds up the hills, keeping an eye on the trail markers. After approximately 3 kilometers of walking, you will start to notice the elevation gain. As you approach the area near Messililo, you'll see the distinctive mountain peak ahead. Continue on the path, and you will reach the base of Messililo within 30 minutes.

• Bicycle

  From the central square of Adi Quala, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head east towards the main road and take the main road out of town. After about 1 kilometer, you will encounter a T-junction. Turn right onto the dirt road leading towards the hills. The path will be rough, but manageable for a bicycle. Continue cycling for about 3 kilometers until you reach the foot of Messililo. Lock your bicycle at the base and prepare to hike the remaining distance to the peak.

• Group Hike

  Join a local guided hiking group in Adi Quala. The group typically meets at the central market in the mornings. From there, the guide will lead you on a scenic route through the town and onto the paths that lead to Messililo. This route will cover approximately 4 kilometers of hiking. The guide will provide insights about the area and ensure that you stay on the correct path. This is a great option for those looking to learn more about the local culture while exploring.
