Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Asmara, head south on the main highway towards the Debub Region. Approximately 30 km into your journey, take the exit toward Adi Keyh. Follow the signs for Adi Keyh, and as you approach the town, look out for route markers directing you to جبل طحلو (تقيعزي كوما) Tege-eze Koma. The final stretch requires traveling along a dirt road that leads directly to the site. This road can be rough, so a vehicle with higher clearance is recommended. The total travel time is about 1.5 to 2 hours from Asmara, depending on traffic and road conditions.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Tege-eze Koma using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi from Asmara to Adi Keyh. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is typically around 30-50 ERN (Eritrean Nakfa). Upon arrival in Adi Keyh, you will need to hire a local taxi to take you to جبل طحلو (تقيعزي كوما). Ensure you agree on a fare before starting your journey; it may cost around 100-150 ERN for the short trip to the site. Be prepared for some negotiation, as prices can vary.

• Walking

  If you choose to walk from Adi Keyh to جبل طحلو (تقيعزي كوما), be aware that it's a distance of approximately 10 km. The route is scenic but can be challenging due to the terrain. It's advisable to start early in the day to avoid the heat and ensure you have enough time to return safely. Bring water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way.
