Getting There

  • Walking

    From Teseney town center, head northeast towards the main road. Continue walking straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the road leading to Hidele. Turn left at this junction and follow the road for about 5 kilometers. You will pass through small villages and may encounter local residents. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Semenawi Bahri National Park. After about 5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the right fork, which leads directly towards Hidele. Continue for another 3 kilometers until you see signs for Semenawi Bahri National Park. The entrance will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Teseney and cycle northeast on the main road. After about 1 kilometer, take a left at the junction towards Hidele. Continue cycling for about 5 kilometers. You will notice the landscape changing as you approach the park area. At the fork in the road, make sure to take the right turn and keep cycling for another 3 kilometers until you see the park entrance on your left.

  • Public Transport (if available)

    Check for any local minibuses or shared taxis heading towards Hidele. These can usually be found near the town center in Teseney. Once you board a minibus, inform the driver that you want to go to Semenawi Bahri National Park. The driver will drop you off at the nearest point to the park entrance. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the park entrance.
