Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from any location in the Estonian Islands, first take a ferry from the island to the mainland. For example, if you are on Saaremaa Island, take the ferry from Kuressaare to Virtsu. Once on the mainland, drive towards Tallinn on Route 10. After approximately 100 km, take the exit towards Jägala-Joa. Follow the signs to Kubja tee, where the Jägala waterfall is located. Parking is available near the waterfall, but there may be a small fee for parking.

Public Transportation

To reach Jägala waterfall using public transportation, take a ferry from your island (e.g., Saaremaa or Hiiumaa) to the mainland. Once you arrive, head to the nearest bus station. From there, take a bus heading towards Tallinn and get off at Jägala-Joa. The buses run regularly, but check the schedule for exact times. After disembarking, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the waterfall following the signs to Kubja tee.

Taxi or Rideshare

If you prefer a more direct route, you can also opt for a taxi or rideshare service once you reach the mainland. Request a ride to Jägala-Joa and provide the address: Kubja tee, Jägala-Joa, 74212.
