Getting There

Walking
From the central square of Haapsalu (Raekoja plats), head southeast towards the Haapsalu Castle. Walk along the main road (Karja Street) until you reach the castle. Once at the castle, continue walking along the road adjacent to the castle's walls. You will come to the crossroad; take a left onto Tallinna Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kalda Street. Turn right onto Kalda Street, and after a short walk, you will see Pölluväravatorn on your left. The entire walk should take about 15-20 minutes.

If you have access to a bike, you can rent one from a local shop in Haapsalu. Start at the Haapsalu Railway Station and head south on Ranna Street. Continue until you reach the junction with Tallinna Street. Turn left onto Tallinna Street and cycle straight until you reach Kalda Street. Turn right onto Kalda Street and Pölluväravatorn will be on your left. The biking route is approximately 10-15 minutes depending on your speed.

Take Bus Number 1 from the Haapsalu Bus Station towards the 'Keskväljak' stop. Once you get off at the 'Keskväljak' stop, walk southeast towards Haapsalu Castle. The bus ride will take about 5 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop to the tower will take another 15 minutes.
