If you are driving, start from the capital of Hiiumaa, Kärdla, and head southwest on the Hiiu Road (Route 6) towards the village of Kanapeeksi. The journey takes about 30 minutes (approx. 28km). Upon reaching Kanapeeksi, look for local signs leading you to Kaibaldi liivik. The nature preserve is located just off the main road towards the northwest. You'll find parking available near the entrance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Kärdla and ride towards Kanapeeksi. The route on Hiiu Road is mostly flat and scenic. Once in Kanapeeksi, follow the signs to Kaibaldi liivik, which will be a short ride off the main road.
