Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Kuressaare town center, head west on Tallinna Street (Tallinna mnt) towards the roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout onto Lossi Street (Lossi tee). After about 300 meters, you will see the entrance to Kuressaare linnus on your left. The castle is located at Lossihoov, so keep an eye out for the castle walls as you approach.

  • Bicycle

    From the center of Kuressaare, rent a bicycle and head towards the harbor area. Follow the bike path along the waterfront for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Lossi Street (Lossi tee) and continue straight for about 300 meters. The castle will be on your left at Lossihoov.

    While there is no direct public transport to Kuressaare linnus, you can take a local bus to Kuressaare from surrounding areas.
