Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the town of Rakvere, which is a central location in Lääne-Virumaa. From Rakvere, take the road towards Tapa (Route 4). Continue on Route 4 for about 22 kilometers until you see signs for Viru raba. Follow the signs to the parking area near the Viru raba vaatetorn. The parking is free, and from the parking area, it is a short walking distance (approximately 1 km) to the observation tower.
Public Transportation
To reach Viru raba vaatetorn using public transport, take a bus from Rakvere to Tapa. The bus journey takes around 30 minutes. Once in Tapa, transfer to a bus heading towards Jõhvi and get off at the stop labeled 'Viru raba'. From there, follow the marked walking path for approximately 1 km to reach the observation tower. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary, and the bus fare is typically around €2-€3.
