If you are starting from Rakvere's central square, head southwest towards Pikk Street (Pikk 52). Walk along Pikk Street for about 10 minutes until you reach the address Pikk 52. You'll notice a parking lot (Parkla) nearby. The illuminated stairs (valgustatud trepp) are located at the top of Vallimägi hill, just behind the parking area.

From Rakvere Castle, exit the castle grounds and turn onto Pikk Street. Continue straight for approximately 15 minutes. As you approach the parking lot at Pikk 52, look for signs directing you towards Vallimägi hill. The illuminated staircase (valgustatud trepp) is at the top of the hill, just a short walk from the parking area.

If you are near the Rakvere Library, exit onto Koidu Street and head northeast towards Pikk Street. Turn right onto Pikk Street and walk for about 5 to 7 minutes until you reach Pikk 52.
