From Rakvere, head to the Rakvere Bus Station located at Kaevu 5, 44307 Rakvere. You can take a bus heading towards Loksa. Buses to Loksa typically run every hour, but it's advisable to check the latest schedule at the bus station or online. The journey to Loksa takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Loksa bus station, exit the bus and proceed to the main road.

From the Loksa bus station, head southeast on Aia Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Liiapeksi-Loksa Road (approximately 1.5 km walk). Turn left onto Liiapeksi-Loksa Road and walk for about 1.5 km. You will see signs directing you to the Viru Bog nature trail. Follow the signs, and you will reach the trail entrance in about 20-25 minutes.

If you're up for a cycling adventure, you can rent a bicycle in Rakvere. After renting, head to the Rakvere Bus Station and take a bus to Loksa as mentioned earlier. Once in Loksa, cycle along Liiapeksi-Loksa Road towards the Viru Bog nature trail. This route offers a scenic ride through the Estonian countryside, and you should reach the trail in about 25-30 minutes.
