If you're driving from the center of Viljandi, head southeast on Tallinna Road (Tallinna maantee) towards Pärnu. After approximately 45 kilometers, merge onto Route E263 towards Pärnu/Tartu. Continue on E263 for about 40 kilometers until you reach Pärnu. As you enter Pärnu, follow signs for 'Ranna puiestee' which will lead you to Ranna puiestee 9, Pärnu. The Rannaniidu matkarada is located near the beach area.

To reach Rannaniidu matkarada by public transport, start by taking a bus from Viljandi Bus Station to Pärnu. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with tickets costing around €10. Upon arrival at Pärnu Bus Station, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a local bus (line 1 or 2) towards Ranna puiestee. Get off at the 'Ranna puiestee' stop and walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Ranna puiestee 9, where the matkarada is situated.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Viljandi and take the scenic route towards Pärnu. The route is approximately 70 kilometers and will take around 4-5 hours, depending on your pace.
