Walking
From Arat Kilo, start by walking towards the main road, Bole Road. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Sidist Kilo. Turn right onto Sidist Kilo and continue walking for about 15 minutes. You'll pass by the National Museum of Ethiopia on your left. Keep walking straight until you see Meskel Square ahead. This will take you directly to the square without any need for public transportation.
Bicycle
If you prefer to rent a bicycle, find a local rental service in Arat Kilo. Once you have your bike, ride towards Bole Road. Head straight along Bole Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Sidist Kilo. Turn right onto Sidist Kilo and continue straight for approximately 15 minutes. You will see Meskel Square in front of you as you approach.
Public Bus
To take a public bus, find the nearest bus stop in Arat Kilo. Take a bus heading towards Meskel Square; the fare is usually around 10 Ethiopian Birr. Buses are marked with their destinations, so look for one that says 'Meskel Square' or 'Kirkos.' The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Meskel Square, disembark and you will be at your destination.
Motorcycle Taxi (Bajaj)
For a quicker option, you can take a motorcycle taxi, known locally as 'Bajaj.' Look for one near your location in Arat Kilo. The fare to Meskel Square is approximately 30-50 Ethiopian Birr depending on your starting point. Once you are on the Bajaj, simply inform the driver that you want to go to Meskel Square, and they will take you there directly. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes.
