Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the heart of Arat Kilo, head east on Menelik II Avenue. This is the main road that leads directly to the National Palace. You will pass by several local shops and cafes, so it’s a great opportunity to experience local life. After about a 15-minute walk, you will see the entrance to the 4 Kilo National Palace on your left. Look for the large gates that mark the entrance.

• Bicycle

  For a more adventurous route, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Arat Kilo. Once you have your bike, ride east along Menelik II Avenue. The ride should take about 10 minutes. Be cautious of traffic and pedestrians. As you approach the National Palace, you will notice the grand structure on your left, with its large gates indicating the entrance.

• Public Transport (Minibus)

  Although you are close to your destination, you can take a minibus (commonly called a 'bajaj') for a small fare, usually around 10-20 Ethiopian Birr. Head to the nearest minibus stop and board a minibus heading towards the National Palace direction. The ride will take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to let you off at the National Palace, and they will drop you off right at the entrance.
