Walking
Assuming you are starting from the center of Bahir Dar, head south on Abay Avenue (the main road). Continue straight until you reach the roundabout near the lake. At the roundabout, take the first exit to the left onto the road that leads towards the Martyrs Monument. Keep walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs pointing towards the monument. As you get closer, look for the large structure of the monument which will be visible from a distance. You can enter the surrounding area to explore more about the monument.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bahir Dar. Start from the center of town and follow the same route as if you were walking. Cycle south on Abay Avenue until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the first exit to the left and continue straight on the designated bike-friendly paths. The monument is about 1 kilometer from the roundabout. Ensure to ride safely and be mindful of pedestrians.

Public Transport (Bajaj)
To get to Martyrs Monument via public transport, look for a Bajaj (three-wheeled taxi) around the main square of Bahir Dar. Tell the driver 'Martyrs Monument' or show them your phone with the location pulled up. The ride should take around 10 minutes depending on traffic. The Bajaj will drop you off right at the entrance to the monument area.
