Getting There

    From the main entrance of Bale Mountains National Park, head east on the main road towards Goba. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the junction for Sura. Turn left onto the road towards Sura and continue for about 10 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signposts indicating Bulala. As you approach Bulala, you'll navigate through some rough terrain, so it's advisable to have a 4WD vehicle. The last few kilometers may require careful driving due to rocky patches.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Bulala via public transportation, start from Goba. You can catch a minibus heading towards Sura from the Goba bus station. The journey should take about one hour and will cost around 20-30 Ethiopian Birr. Once you arrive in Sura, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to Bulala. This last leg of the journey will cost approximately 100-150 Birr and may take around 30 minutes depending on road conditions.
