Getting there

Car

Starting from Debre Libanos Monastery, head southeast on the main road (the Debre Libanos to Addis Ababa road). Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to the Fincha'a waterfall. Follow the signs or GPS directions to CMH5+W3Q, Debra. The road may be unpaved and bumpy, so drive carefully. Parking is available near the waterfall site.

Public Transportation

From Debre Libanos Monastery, take a minibus heading towards Debre Markos. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Fincha'a waterfall. The journey will take around 30 minutes. After alighting, you may need to walk for about 2 kilometers following the signs to the waterfall. Ensure that you have local currency for the fare, which is approximately 30 Ethiopian Birr.

Walking

If you prefer walking, from the Monastery, take the main road heading southeast. After about 10 kilometers, you will find a path leading to the waterfall. It’s a scenic route but can be quite strenuous due to the distance. Ensure you are wearing comfortable shoes and carry enough water.
