From the center of Dire Dawa, start at the Dire Dawa Stadium. Head northeast on the main road (also known as Addis Ababa Road). Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Birbirsa. Turn left onto this road and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and small eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Garamuleta Mountain.

Enjoy the views as you approach the base of the mountain, where you can find several trails leading to different viewpoints.
