Car
If you are driving from Bahir Dar, head east on the A3 road for approximately 30 km. You will pass through scenic landscapes and small villages. Look for signs towards 'Blue Nile Falls' as you approach the turnoff. Once you see the sign, take a left onto the road leading to the falls. Follow this road for about 10 km until you reach the parking area. From the parking lot, it's a short walk to the viewing area of the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach the Blue Nile Falls by public transport, start from Bahir Dar and take a minibus headed toward Gondar. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Blue Nile Falls stop. The bus ride will take about an hour. Once you reach the stop, there will be local guides available who can assist you in getting to the falls. It is a short walk from the main road to the entrance, where you can purchase tickets.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi in Bahir Dar to take you directly to the Blue Nile Falls. Agree on a fare before starting your journey; it should be around 400-600 Ethiopian Birr for a round trip. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The driver will drop you off at the entrance, and you can enjoy the scenic views and take photos.
