If you are in the Harar city center, start at the Harar Grand Mosque, which is a well-known landmark. From the mosque, head east on the main road (Bishoftu Street) for about 500 meters. As you walk, keep an eye out for local shops and cafes where you can grab a bite or ask for directions if needed. After passing a few shops, take a left onto the road that leads towards the Ras Makonnen area. Continue walking for another 300 meters, and you will see the Ras Makonnen Statue on your right, located in a small park area. It's a prominent statue, so it should be easy to spot.

If you are near the Harar Cultural Museum, start from there. Exit the museum and head towards the main road (Bishoftu Street). Turn right and walk along Bishoftu Street for approximately 700 meters. You'll pass several local market stalls and people selling traditional Ethiopian goods. Look for signs directing you towards the Ras Makonnen area. After about 700 meters, take a right turn onto a smaller street leading towards the statue. Continue for about 200 meters, and you'll find the Ras Makonnen Statue on your left, surrounded by a small park where you can relax.

If you are coming from the Harar Jugol (the old walled city), exit through the southern gate and walk straight down the road leading out of the wall. As you exit, head towards the main road (Bishoftu Street) and turn left. Walk for about 1 kilometer, enjoying the local scenery and perhaps stopping at a shop for refreshments. After 1 kilometer, you will come across the Ras Makonnen area; take a right turn and walk for another 200 meters. The statue will be prominently displayed ahead in a small park.
