Walking
From the center of Jinka, start at the main market area. Head south on the main road, which is known locally as the Jinka-Mago Road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Mago National Park. You will pass by several small shops and local homes. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see signs for Gorgocha Mountain to your right. Turn onto the dirt path leading to Gorgocha Mountain. The path may be rocky and uneven, so wear sturdy shoes. Follow this path for about 3 kilometers, and you will reach the base of Gorgocha Mountain. From there, you can begin your hike to the summit.
Hiking
Once you reach the base of Gorgocha Mountain, locate the marked trail that leads to the summit. The trail is well-trodden but can be steep in sections. It will take about 2-3 hours to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level. Be sure to carry plenty of water and snacks for the hike. As you ascend, you will encounter beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and plant species unique to the area. Once you reach the summit, take time to enjoy the panoramic views before beginning your descent.
