Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
From the center of Jinka, start at the main market area. Head south on the main road (which is also called 'Jinka Road'). Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path that leads towards a small hill. You will notice signs pointing towards Eco Omo Lodge along this route. As you walk, keep an eye out for local landmarks, such as the large tree at the junction and the small footbridge over the stream. After about 500 meters, you will see Eco Omo Lodge on your right, marked by a sign. The lodge is situated amidst beautiful scenery, making it an easy spot to recognize.
Bicycle
If you prefer to rent a bicycle, find a local rental shop in Jinka, usually located near the market area. Rent your bike and head south on Jinka Road. Maintain a steady pace as you ride about 1 kilometer. When you reach the fork in the road, take the left path toward the hill. Follow the signs for Eco Omo Lodge, which will guide you through the scenic route. After approximately 500 meters, the lodge will appear on your right. Be cautious of pedestrians and local traffic as you ride.
Local Transport (Boda Boda)
To reach Eco Omo Lodge using a Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi), find a Boda Boda stand in the main square of Jinka. Inform the driver that you want to go to Eco Omo Lodge. They will know the location, as it’s a popular destination. The ride will take about 10 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off directly at the lodge entrance, where you will find signage indicating Eco Omo Lodge.
