If you are traveling by car from Gondar, take the main road heading southeast towards Bahir Dar. After approximately 90 kilometers, you will reach a junction. At the junction, keep right and continue towards Lake Tana. As you approach the lake, you will see signs directing you to various attractions including Lack tana. Once you reach the lakeside, look for parking areas available near the main attractions. Ensure you have cash for parking fees, which generally range from 20-50 Ethiopian Birr.

From Gondar, head to the local minibus station and catch a minibus heading to Bahir Dar. The fare is typically around 50 Ethiopian Birr. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Bahir Dar, you can take another minibus or tuk-tuk that goes to Lake Tana. The fare for this leg is around 10-20 Ethiopian Birr. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lack tana specifically, and they will drop you at the nearest point to the attraction.
