If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Simien Mountains National Park. Follow the main road south towards Debark. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Debark. Continue straight through Debark and head towards the town of Bahir Dar. After about 30 kilometers, you will see signs for Azwa St. Maryam Church. Turn onto the dirt road leading up to the church, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the main road. Please note that the road can be uneven, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
