    Arbore Village is located approximately 50km south of Weyto, along the road to Turmi. The road conditions can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. From Weyto, follow the main road south, keeping an eye out for signs pointing towards Turmi. The village will be located west of the Weito River.

The name Arbore translates to 'Land of the Bulls,' reflecting the tribe's deep connection to their cattle. The village is comprised of four settlements: Jellifa, Egudi, Gulama, and Gondara'ba, each offering a unique perspective on Arbore life. Gondaraba is the largest, and where the tribal chiefs reside. Arbore architecture features traditional papyrus huts, alongside a clinic, police station and small church. The Arbore people are agro-pastoralists, relying on livestock and farming. Cattle are a symbol of wealth and status, rarely slaughtered except for ceremonial purposes. The Arbore are known for their elaborate body adornments, with both men and women showcasing intricate jewelry made from beads, shells, and metals. Unmarried women shave their heads as a symbol of virginity, while married women braid their hair. The Arbore maintain peaceful relationships with neighboring tribes, attributed to their perceived spiritual power and skill in diplomacy. They are active traders, exchanging goods with the Kosno and Borena people. The Arbore believe in a Supreme Being called Waq and incorporate traditional ritual dances into their lives to dispel negative energy.
