Make sure to have a GPS device or a map app handy for precise navigation.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
From the center of Welayta, take a minibus to the nearest major town, which is Sodo. Once in Sodo, head to the minibus terminal and look for a minibus heading to Tiya. The fare is usually around 30 Ethiopian Birr. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Tiya, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to the actual heritage site. Look for local signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
