Getting There

    From Gjógv, head south on Route 10 towards the town of Klaksvik. After about 20 minutes, take the exit onto Route 1 heading towards Tórshavn. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 25 km. Follow the signs for Kirkjubøur, turning onto Route 52. After about 10 more minutes, you will arrive at Kirkjubøur, where Kirkjubømúrurin is located. Parking is available near the historical site.

    From Gjógv, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the bus towards Tórshavn. Buses are relatively frequent, so check the local schedule (usually available at the bus stop or online). After about 30 minutes, you will arrive in Tórshavn. From Tórshavn, transfer to a bus heading to Kirkjubøur. This leg of the trip should take an additional 30 minutes.
