Car
From Gjógv, head southwest on the main road towards Eysturoy. Continue on the road for about 30 minutes until you reach Tórshavn. As you approach Tórshavn, follow the signs towards the city center. Once you are in the city, you will find Skansin located at Yviri við Strond. There is limited parking available near Skansin, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
From Gjógv, take the bus to Tórshavn, which is the capital city of the Faroe Islands. The bus service is operated by Strandfaraskip Landsins, and the journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Tórshavn, exit the terminal and walk towards Yviri við Strond, which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs to Skansin as you make your way to the fortress.
