Malinsfjall is best accessed from the village of Viðareiði. From the village center, head northwest towards the coordinates 8FV6+69J. The trailhead is located near the Viðareiði Church. Follow the well-marked trail that ascends towards Malinsfjall. The hike is moderate and takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the summit, depending on your pace.
Public Transport
To reach Viðareiði by public transport, take bus route 500 from Klaksvík. From other islands, you may need to transfer in Klaksvík. Once in Viðareiði, disembark near the church. From there, locate the path that leads to Malinsfjall. Follow the clearly marked trail, which will guide you through beautiful landscapes. The hike from the trailhead to the summit usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. A single bus fare from Klaksvík to Viðareiði costs approximately 30 DKK.
