Starting from the center of Sørvágur, head southwest on the main road, towards the harbor. Once you reach the harbor area, look for a path leading towards the hills. Follow the path as it ascends to the right, keeping the ocean on your left. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach a junction. Take the left fork that leads uphill. Continue on this trail, which will take you through beautiful landscapes. After approximately 1 hour of hiking, you will reach a viewpoint overlooking the waterfall. Keep going for another 10-15 minutes down the path, and you will arrive at Skarðsáfossur.

Alternatively, you can start from the local church in Sørvágur. From the church, head towards the main road and turn left. Walk for about 500 meters until you see a sign indicating the path to Skarðsáfossur. Follow the marked trail, which will take you through scenic areas. You will walk alongside a stream, and after about 1 hour and 15 minutes, you will see the waterfall appear in the distance. Continue on the trail to get closer for a better view and to enjoy the surrounding nature.
