Walking
Start your journey at the Strendur church, which is centrally located in Strendur. From the church, head west towards the main road (Road 10). Continue onto Road 10 and follow the signs that guide you towards Kirkjubøur. The distance is approximately 7 kilometers. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the fjord. After about 1.5 hours of walking, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path which leads directly to Kirkjubøur.

From Strendur, walk to the nearest bus stop located on the main road (Road 10). Board the bus heading towards Tórshavn. After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the bus stop for Kirkjubøur. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Kirkjubømúrurin. Follow the signs leading to Kirkjubøur, and you will find the historical site along the main path.
